THE TREE PLANTING CEREMONY BY THE BEST GRADUATING STUDENT MISS OKE DIETAKE

The BGS( Best graduating student) of the university of Port Harcourt and also the valedictorian for the 2009/2010 section. she is a student of the Faculty of Education, the department of Psychology; Miss Oke Dietake flanked by The Vice chancellor, dean of her faculty and dean of student affairs and other principal officers of the University at the tree planting ceremony. Yearly tradition.

I took a picture with the Best graduating student, I was so supervised that we were once friends while she was in school. We got into a discussion about how she was able to make it and she said she Owe's it all to God. She also said it was her diligence to study and also that she worked really hard to achieve this.

My express Opinion is that she is really a Wonderful woman. She already has a Job from her wonderful speech on the Convocation Day in Diamond Bank.

The Joy of Convocation

This Saturday is the highly anticipated and most prestigious convocation ceremony of the university of Port Harcourt. this is a time were students finally say goodbye to the hassle and struggle of school. Although its also a sad day for some parents whose wards died in the process of getting educated either by natural causes or by sudden or cult related means. Having this in mind, there is more to be thankful about than to weep for the above 2000 graduands who thus their caps today in celebration.

the school environment is alive again with clearance activities on full swing. every student who held high the touch all through his/her stay comes proudly to collect the sticker which reads UNIPORT ALUMNUS. This give great joy to the students after all the struggle.

The Student on the picture above is Mr Musharraf Momodu finished with Honors in the Faculty of Basic Medical sciences Department of Human Physiology, his a great friend and amazing student congrats to him. I asked him about his experiences and this is what he has to say "He complains that school was stressful with the worst conditions sometimes, from no power supply to poor lecture halls and exam fixing with negligences from the part of the school authorities on regular bases". But he says he is happy he is done for good. AND CONGRATS TO ALL THE GRADUANDS.

Belated School News
Hello peeps, i have so many info's for you all. took a week vacation to Bonny Island. Am back now an i have a whole lot of info for all of ya!!!

SCHOOL ONE MONTH BREAK.
I know this is stale but i still think its important to still mention it, the school authorities told students to vacate hostels for a month starting on 30th of may. the reasons were not so clear but rumor has it that its because of the national games festival...but SLT is still in section(writing exams) though.
-Effects of Break.- school is still kind of full, although students keep traveling on daily bases

SLT FIRST INDUCTION
Yesterday was the first induction ceremony of SLT students in the university of PH, rumors has it that the students were all told to come dressed in white shirts, it was also a successful event as bars were filed with SLT students after the induction.

FINAL YEAR MBBS EXAM RESULTS(medical students result)
The final year MBBS result was posted last week and the regular effects it gives was clear, those who failed just went into their shells to cry and reassure themselves that they will make it in the resit. Also others who passed took to the entertainment centers all over the City celebrating their triumph through 6yrs of Hard work. I join and say congratulations to all of them.
